What we build

Agile Software LLC is an Illinois limited liability company that designs and develops mobile applications in two areas: education — tools that help someone actually learn a subject or a skill — and personal improvement — tools that help people build habits, track progress, and follow through on goals they set for themselves.

We build our own products end to end: concept, design, engineering, release, and ongoing support. We are not an agency and we do not take on work for hire.

Education

Software for learning something specific and finishing it. Structured practice, spaced repetition, and progress you can actually see — built for the person doing the learning, not for a classroom administrator’s dashboard.

Personal improvement

Software for the gap between deciding to do something and doing it. Habit tracking, goal structure, and honest feedback about what is and isn’t working — without the streak-guilt and manipulation that has become standard in the category.

How we think about this category

Most education and self-improvement apps are built to maximize time spent inside them. That incentive is backwards. A habit tracker succeeds when you no longer need to open it. A learning tool succeeds when you have learned the thing and moved on.

We design for that outcome even where it costs us engagement numbers. In practice that means no artificial streaks designed to induce guilt, no notifications engineered to pull you back in, no dark patterns around subscriptions, and no selling behavioral data to anyone. People trying to improve themselves are unusually easy to exploit. We would rather not.

Built on how people actually learn

Spacing, retrieval practice, and incremental difficulty are well-established in learning research. We build around them rather than around whatever keeps a session going longest.

No manipulation

No guilt-driven streaks, no engineered notifications, no subscription dark patterns. If our software is worth paying for, it should be worth paying for without tricks.

Your data stays yours

We collect the minimum an app needs to work. Habit and study data is personal. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertising networks.

Our standards

These are commitments, not aspirations. They apply to everything we ship.

No behavioral advertising: We do not run third-party advertising in our applications, and we do not use what you do inside them to target advertising anywhere else.
No data sale: We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Honest subscriptions: Clear pricing, no hidden auto-renewals, no cancellation mazes. If the software is worth paying for, it should be worth paying for without tricks.
Age-appropriate by design: Where an application is intended for children, it is built to Apple’s Kids Category requirements and complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
Support from the builders: Support email is answered by the people who wrote the software, usually within two business days.

Products

We have applications in development for iOS. We announce products when they are ready to be used, not before — so there is nothing here yet.
